What is Acutonics Sound Healing?

The Acutonics Sound Healing method is unique in the sound therapy field because it has an integrated holistic healing approach. It starts with the foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Science and Psychology to give its practitioners an understanding of the basis of disease.

Acutonics uses tuning forks tuned to the orbital velocities of the planets. They are precision-calibrated tuning forks which are used on specific acupuncture points to access the meridian and chakra energy systems. All Acutonics student practitioners complete their sound medicine training through the Acutonics Certification Program to ensure their understanding of this method and the highest levels of training in the applied use of sound vibration to the body.

Through clinical research, Acutonics Tuning Fork Therapy has been shown to help address a wide range of ailments: musculoskeletal, neurological, psycho-spiritual, emotional, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and many other chronic conditions. Acutonics can be used to treat a variety of conditions including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder. It has been shown to lower stress, balance mood swings, lower blood pressure, relieve chronic pain and improve sleep.

How does Acutonics Sound Healing work?

The role of the sound therapy practitioner is to determine where imbalances within the body are and to work with the body, mind, and spirit to begin the journey back to balance.

Acutonics uses precision calibrated tuning forks forks to apply specific vibrations to different parts of the body. This can help promote relaxation and promote emotional wellbeing.

The vibrations that instruments create initiate a healing response from the body. When placed on the body, the vibrations from tuning forks, Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, send sound waves traveling through the body. Sound waves travel easily through the body as it is composed of approximately 70 % water. Sound waves travel four times faster in water than in air making the body a great resonator. It can be thought of as “ripples in a pond.” These ripples can break up physical blocks like tight muscles, or emotional blocks like stuck feelings.
